Saving U.S. Flags for ancestors

Yesterday I started saving the various U.S. flags to use in my genealogy.  I had to go to two sites to get all the flags.  I have ancestors that served in the Revolutionary War and others that served on different sides of the U.S. Civil War in the 1860's.
I still have a few more flags to add and then I will start using them for my ancestry dot com family tree.

A little snooping

Last night I was on Ancestry dot com and decided to invest some time looking for old friends.  I put in the name of the contractor that built my family's summer cottage.  There was not a wealth of information, but some pictures of his wife.  She aged beautifully.  There was one family tree that was researching the same individuals, but it was a private list.  I sent an e-mail to the owner giving her some anecdotal information about the couple as I was 6 years old when I first met them and had some old stories to share.  I hope that the owner will appreciate the information.  I know that I really appreciate it when others share information on my ancestors.
